Purse solves the friction of moving money across borders and currencies from a single app. A user holding US dollars can send to a bank account, exchange into another currency, or spend online — all without juggling a separate service for each, and without waiting on a bank's cutoff times for a transfer to post.
Virtual cards are the other half of the product: instead of waiting on a physical card to arrive, a member activates a USD or GBP Visa card in seconds and starts spending immediately, with every card transaction reflected in the app the moment it happens.
How It Works
From the home screen, users deposit, exchange, invoice, or send money, with account balances shown per currency and a Manage Accounts view for switching between them. Sending money walks through selecting a bank, entering an account number with live recipient-name lookup, and reviewing the transfer before it's sent, while the Cards tab shows spendable balance, card details, and a running feed of card transactions.
